MERKO has been recognized as the leading company in Lithuania for installing the highest number of wind turbine foundations

This week, the Lithuanian Wind Power Association (LVEA) hosted a prestigious conference celebrating its 20th anniversary. The event brought together key players from the country’s wind energy sector and recognized the most significant achievements. It also honored companies and projects that have made the greatest contributions to the development of renewable energy in Lithuania.

MERKO was acknowledged as the leading company in installing the highest number of wind turbine foundations. This recognition highlights MERKO’s extensive experience, commitment to high-quality standards, and substantial contribution to the advancement of sustainable energy production and infrastructure development in Lithuania.

The award for The Most Ambitious Ongoing Onshore Project was presented to the “Ignitis Renewables” wind farm in Kelmė District. As the general contractor, MERKO is responsible here for installing 44 wind turbine foundations, constructing infrastructure roads, and laying electrical cables.
