Vilnelės skverai (Vilnelė Squares) is a new residential complex being developed by MERKO; it will be located on Manufaktūrų Street, close to the Old Town, between Užupis and Belmontas. Construction of the first quarter houses began in October and should be completed in the first half of 2022.
The successful implementation of the Vilnelės slėnis (Vilnelė Valley) project encouraged MERKO to start this new project. We can see that in this place – between the Old Town, Užupis and the green parks of Vilnius – a unique modern city center is emerging. Instead of the former factories, new houses and streets are now being built: a wide boulevard with bicycle and pedestrian paths will lead directly to Vilnius Old Town.

„Vilnelės skverai“ is modern, economical, energy-efficient A+ class housing. Distinctive features of these urban-style buildings are regular shape façades and large panoramic windows.
In the 1st stage five- to six-storey houses, 238 apartments from 33 to 115 sq. m, and one- to four-room, is available to the residents.
The 3rd stage includes six apartment buildings with 209 apartments is which are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
In the second phase (Kaukysos) eight six- to seven-storey houses are being built, 303 apartments from 32 to 100 sq. meters are planned.
The houses will have underground car parks where electric car charging stations will be installed upon request. For the convenience of the residents, individual and shared bicycle storage facilities will be available.
The quarter is designed so that its residents feel comfortable and happy to return home and spend time not only inside the apartment but also in the surrounding area. A spacious and safe pedestrian zone has been designed among the houses. The buildings will group around a common yard with cozy green spaces, children’s playgrounds and recreation areas – for physical activity, quiet leisure and rest after a workday.
The plans of the new residential quarter also include a mall of commercial premises where businesses providing services to local residents will be able to settle in.
