The construction company Merko Ehitus established at the beginning of 1990 in Estonia carries out its activities in all Baltic States, i.e. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The company’s shares have been quoted at Tallinn Stock exchange since 1997. As at the end of the last year the group provided work for more than 900 persons. In 2010 the sales revenue of the company was 171,9 million euros (2,7  billion kroons).

Today, the company Merko Ehitus is the leader in the Estonian construction market constructing around 6 per cent of all objects to be built in this country. The company continues the development of its activities in Latvia and Lithuania in pursuit of getting among the leaders of the construction market in these countries. In Lithuania there operates a subsidiary of Merko Ehitus, i.e. Merko statyba UAB, whereas in Latvia there operates SIA Merks.

Long-term experience gained from different markets, wide scope of construction services, flexibility, reliability, meeting of deadlines and foremost quality helped Merko group to achieve and maintain the position of the market leader in the Baltic States almost two decades. Depending on the customer’s needs, the group companies may perform both small-scale construction works and implement large-scale, complex and innovative construction projects.
